Abstract

Skill of student writing narrative essay in class IV Elementary School Cengal III, District Kuningan, yet reached at the expected level. One of the ways that deems appropriate to solve the problem was through the application of learning guided writing by KWL model with picture media. This research used classroom action research with using of qualitative approach. Classroom action research design used refers to Kemmis and Mc Taggart model started with planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instrument used were the student activity observation guidelines, interview, field notes, and questions. Then the collected data were processed and analyzed. While checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques, member checks, and expert opinion. Through the application of learning guided writing by KWL model with picture media in narrative essay, student learning outcomes class IV elementary school Cengal III can increase. This was evidenced by the increasing number of students who were otherwised completed on each cycle, started from preliminary data as many as three students or 15%, the first cycle increased to 9 people or 45%, on the second cycle increased to 18 people or 90%.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate whether students’ text book Grade 5 Theme I in Curriculum 2013 has been fulfill child right in learning process or not. It was library research through qualitative approach, and using descriptive analytic method. The result of this study showed that Indonesian government has consistently applied the 1989 UN children right convention result, both juridically and applicatively. It can be seen on students’ text book Grade V Theme I Curriculum 2013 which has been fulfill child right but it is required to be actualized more in real learning process by the teacher.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of of Quantum Teaching learning model in the learning process Mathematic in SDN Peterongan Semarang. This is quantitative research with pretest posttest design. Population in this research are all student of III grade in SD Negeri Peterongan Semarang which amount to 26 students by using sampling technique that is saturated sample. Based on result of research data analysis after getting treatment by using Quantum Teaching model obtained count = 8,122 t table = 1,706. Then the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This means that the results of the third grade students of SD Negeri Peterongan Semarang achieve KKM 60. While the creativity character of students on the post-test results obtained 2.616 ttabel = 1.706. This means that the creativity character of third grade students of SD Negeri Peterongan Semarang reaches the value with good criteria ≥ 70. The average score of student creativity character is 72,69 with good criterion. The calculation of pretest and posttest values is different, in pretest it gets an average score of 59.38 whereas in posttest the average score is 74.15. Based on this obtained thitung ttable that is 8,541 2,056. Therefore, it can be concluded that Quantum Teaching learning model can improve creativity and learning result of Mathematics of third grade students SDN Peterongan Semarang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the steps to the application of PBL learning to improve student learning outcomes in the material fractions. This research was a class act. In this study the data source was the teacher and the student. Data collection techniques used in this study consisted of (a) observation, (b) interviews, and (c) test. Methods of data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative and descriptive comparative. The steps of learning by PBL method are (1) the stage of cooperation where students formed into groups of 4-5 students, (2) the orientation of students to the problem, namely the provision of problems related to everyday life, (3) organization students to learn independently in a group, (4) guided inquiry groups using worksheets to gather the appropriate information, and (5) develop and present the results of discussions through presentations to the class. The resulting increases in students’ mathematics learning of the results of the pre-action test 71.31 and increased in the first cycle to 75.78, on the second cycle increased by 82.63.

Abstract

The research aims to develop module of bahasa which combined by national character. Background of this study is there’s not yet any module of bahasa which combined by national character, in the other side Indonesia needs teacher who able to teach and guide the children with national character to tighten the children’s nationality. By using this product, we hope that the student of elementary school teacher education (candidate of teacher) will able to teach and guide the children with national character. The research was supported by the expert in each field. The research divided become four step which called four-D (1) define; (2) design; (3) develop; and (4) disseminate. But, the duration of the research is only one year, so it caused the research only able to achieve third level (develop). The product of this research is a module of bahasa combined by national character which ready to used by lecturer in elementary school teacher education. Object of the research are the student of elementary school teacher education (candidate of teacher) in University of Muhammadiyah Magelang, Central Java. The result of the study described that development of module bahasa is done effectively. It can be seen from the lecturers and students respond who had helped by the module.

Abstract

The use of models and methods are very influential in the learning process. SDN 1 Bojong are still many students who do not understand the importance of reading, students assume that reading is boring, especially in subjects Indonesian. Implementation of action research conducted at SDN 1 Bojong to improve learning outcomes and students' reading comprehension in learning Indonesian. The study was conducted in four classes with the number of 27 students, 11 male and 16 female. After the study was conducted, the researchers obtained their learning outcomes and increase students' reading comprehension by applying SQ3R as assisted learning model Picture Maker Stories. The increase was generated in student achievement that can be greater than or equal to a predetermined KKM in Indonesian subjects, namely 75. In cycle 1 students who can achieve ≥75 value amounted to 17 out of 27 students or 63% of 100% and in the second cycle students who have achieved ≥75 value amounted to 21 out of 27 students or as much as 78% from 100%. Then saw an increase learning outcomes and students' reading comprehension of cycle 1 to cycle 2 and research using model SQ3R declared successful.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the existence of positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement in basic natural science subjects; (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and academic achievement basic natural science subjects; and (3) there is a positive and significant relationship together between learning motivation and learning styles with learning achievement in basic natural science subjects. This study used correlational and ex-post facto methods with multiple correlation analysis technique. The first hypothesis test results concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement in basic natural science subjects. The second hypothesis test results concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and academic achievement basic natural science subjects. Double correlation test results for the third hypothesis can be inferred learning motivation and learning styles together have a positive and significant relationship with achievement learn basic natural science subjects. The coefficient of determination of 0.398 indicates that 39.8% of the change in the learning achievement of the basic natural science subjects affected by learning motivation and learning styles, while 60.2% influenced by other variables not studied.

Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of the concept visual appearance of the earth through media-assisted learning model Scramble picture cards in Class III Elementary Negeri Sumogawe Getasan District of Semarang District 03 school year 2016/2017. The shape of this research is classroom action research (PTK) are conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students in third grade students of SD Negeri 03 Sumogawe Getasan District of Semarang District, amounting to 34 students consisting of 17 male students and 17 female students. Source data comes from teachers and students. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, testing, and documentation. Results of research conducted initial conditions prior to student learning improvement achieve mastery only 15 students (46.42%), while 19 students (53.57%) have not yet reached the thoroughness with an average value of 61.42. In the first cycle has been implementing assisted learning method scrambe picture card games increased student learning outcomes that achieve completeness limit of 20 students (64.28%) and who have not completed 14 students (35.71%) with an average value of 63.57. At this stage of the second cycle of the 34 students who achieve mastery of 30 students (89.28%) who have not completed 4 students (10.71%) and the average value KKM science subjects is 65. Viewed from the repair cycle I and cycle II it can be concluded that this research is successful and does not need to continue the next cycle.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe language appropriateness of 2013 Curriculum text book for 1st Grade’s 1st Theme.This research was conducted with qualitative approach by document analysis method. The document utilized in this research was 1st Grade’s 1st Theme of text book which was not published by Ministry of Education and Culture. The research data was collected through content analysis utilizing validated instuments. The data was analyzed with Krippendof quantitatie analysis techniqe including data collection, sample determination, data recording, data reduction, conclusion drawing and recount. The results show that 1st book of non Ministry of Education and Culture publication has fulfilled all the determined criteria achieving good grade with 82.69% of Language Appropriateness. The weakness of this book is inappropriate materials sequence order, utilization of inappropriate words for children development, and utilization of inconsistent icons/symbols. The 2nd book of non Ministry of Education and Culture publication had fulfilled all the determined criteria achieving fair grade with 78.36% of Language Adbisability. The weakness of this book was utilization of inappropriate words for children development, and material suitability to intelectual development of the students.

Abstract

The problem of this research is does the approach of realistic mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang in the academic year 2016/ 2017? Based on the problems posed hypotheses as follows: realistic approach to mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang academic year 2016/ 2017. The goals to be achieved in this study was to determine the effectiveness of the approach is realistic mathematics education methods drill on learning outcomes third grade students of elementary mathematics N Peterongan Semarang in the school year 2016/ 2017. this type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were students of class III Elementary School Peterongan Semarang. The sample class III A control group of 32 students and class III B as an experimental group of 32 students. Experimental research design using a true experimental design, shape chosen is posttest only control group desaign. Data collection tool used is multiple choice test. The results of the t test analyzes is one side (right side) obtained t arithmetic t table is 5.461 1.670, then Ho is rejected. Thus, the realistic approach to mathematics education with drill methods have the significant difference to student learning outcomes experimental class control class. Acquisition of individual mastery learning in the experimental group that is 100% and the average value of 84.218. A control group with a percentage of 87.5% and the average value of 73.718. So it can be concluded that the approach of realistic mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang.
